Registration
Early-bird registration and abstract submission end on 21st March. Late registration closes on 21st April 2020. Please use the registration form.
Presentations
There will be both oral presentations and posters (with an additional option of a one-minute-one-slide lightning presentation for poster presenters). As there will be no parallel sessions, the number of contributed oral presentations is limited and we may have to ask some people wishing to present a talk to change their presentation into a poster. The decision on this will be made, with the help of an international committee, by the 15th April.
Conference fees
The fee includes: symposium materials, coffee and snacks, lunches, pre-conference excursion and ice-breaker on Wednesday 20th, conference dinner on Thursday 21st May, and Saturday 23rd May afternoon excursion to the Bohemian Karst. Please do not forget to register for the excursions if you plan to join them.
The regular early bird (before 21st of March 2020) registration fee is EUR 200. The discounted registration fee for students (PhD, Msc) and emeriti researchers is EUR 150. We understand that these fees may still be too high for participants without funding; therefore we are offering a special reduced fee of 100 EUR, based on a declaration of the participant that they have no available option of (grant/institutional) funding. This option is available only until 21st March.
After 21st March 2020, the regular registration fee is EUR 250, and the student/emeriti discount fee is EUR 200.
Participation in the Sunday 24th excursions to České Středohoří/Böhmisches Mittelgebirge requires an additional fee of EUR 35/45, which includes transport and catering. Participants will receive a separate confirmation email for the trip, which will also include detailed payment instructions. There is limited space for participants, which will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis to those who indicate interest in the registration form. Those who indicate their interest after available spaces are filled will be placed on a waiting list. Payment should only be made by confirmed participants, who receive the separate confirmation email concerning the trip.
Child care
We are offering child care services for a limited number of children (on the first-come-first-served basis) between two and seven years of age who do not require afternoon sleep (there are no facilities for sleeping available), for both morning and afternoon sessions on Thursday and Friday (indicate possible interest for Saturday). The cost per day is 40 EUR. If you are interested, please send an email to popbio2020@ibot.cas.cz by the 21th April. The babysitting charge should be paid by the end of April.
Payment terms
All payments should be made without bank charges to the organizers.
It is possible to pay both in EUR and in CZK.
Cancellations: For cancellations of registrations received before 1st April 2020, we will refund the fee minus a handling charge. We regret that no refunds can be made for cancellations received after 1st April 2020. Notification of cancellation must be sent via email to popbio2020@ibot.cas.cz.
